Quick notes about replacing your computers two "Shut Down" Logos...

These are the pictures that tell you to "Please wait while Windows is shutting down" and that "It is now safe to turn off your computer". (They can't be animated - sorry.) Here's how to replace them with new ones...

Make copies of the files "LOGOS.SYS" and "LOGOW.SYS", and put them in another folder, OR just Rename them into ".BMP" files. (These files are located in your "C:\Windows" folder.)

LOGOW.SYS is the one that reads "Please wait while..." and LOGOS.SYS is the one that reads "It is now safe to..."

Now, rename the files you got from this ZIP to "logow.sys" (wait) and "logos.sys" (safe to shut down). Then move them into your C:\Windows folder. (Thus, replacing the originals.)

When you shut down your computer you will see the new screens. :)

Your "Start-up" logo is called "logo.sys" and is in the MAIN (C:\) folder. And is replaced in the same way. (No idea why Microsoft seperated the screens in different folders.)

Thanks, I hope you enjoy them! :)
